At just 20 years old, Nelson King has already established himself as a rising star in the world of motorsport. With a successful background in karting, Nelson has made a seamless transition to car racing and has quickly garnered attention for his impressive performances on the track. His commitment, determination, and unwavering focus have set him on a path to success in the competitive realm of British motorsport.
Nelson's journey in the Mini Challenge series has been marked by significant achievements and continuous growth. In 2021, he secured a commendable 10th place in the Mini Challenge Trophy category. Building on this success, Nelson went on to claim the Mini Challenge Trophy Graduate Champion title in 2022, followed by his resounding victory in the overall championship, where he triumphed by a nearly 200-point margin over his closest competitor. These accomplishments highlight his ability to excel in highly competitive environments and lay a solid foundation for his future endeavours.
For the 2023 season, Nelson King stepped up to the challenging JCW category of the Vertu Motors MINI CHALLENGE, ready to prove himself against more experienced competitors. Despite being a rookie in the category, Nelson has made an impressive impact, showcasing his exceptional driving skills, adaptability, and natural talent. His debut season has already seen him secure a podium finish on his first outing and a remarkable win at Snetterton in May, reinforcing his potential as a future motorsport star. Nelson’s car is prepared and maintained by Graves Motorsport.
