Rye House Kart Raceway
What a day Saturday was! Saturday I competed in a 4 hour endurance race with @haase_uk chassis and modernised racing using @rpmracingenginesuk This was a completely different ball game doing long stints hauling around a heavy, twin engined kart with pit stops with my teammates, The stints were physically challenging out on track for an hour and 20 minutes.
Qualifying came and I went out to give my all and managed to qualify 13th! Out of 29 other karts which was impressive for my first time out in a pro kart and I haven’t been at this track for almost 2 years and haven’t been racing since November, At the start of the race I had a very strong start darting to the inside of the stadium bend corner getting overtakes and then gained more from a couple spins, unfortunately going into the first hairpin someone had spun and drove into me making me lose out on positions but carried on going getting overtakes and making my way up the grid, and then unfortunately I spun it so dropped back to 22nd and fought my way up to 13th and then ended my stint.
My teammates carried on strong in there stints until a little accident in the last 30 minutes of the race so I had to get my helmet on and get out on track and start hunting down and gain some positions, all in all me and my team finished a respectable 22nd which, for our first time doing this, is good for us considering all the events that had happened during the race
This was a new and brilliant experience so a big thank you to @haase_uk and modernised racing for giving me this opportunity to compete in this event and will look forward to many more!
