Another successful sortie for Laser Tools Racing at Thruxton in Hampshire over the weekend. Our driver Ash Sutton maintains his lead of the Driver’s Championship with a healthy 30-point lead over main rival Tom Ingram. On Saturday morning the FP1 first practice session had started well but the session was stopped after another red flag. Ash had managed at this stage to put in some fast laps but LTR drivers Aiden Moffat and Carl Boardley had only just started when the session was stopped. Saturday started wet and miserable at the Cheshire circuit, soggy conditions for Free Practice session 1 and drier for the second session. However the vital qualifying session later in the afternoon was perfectly dry. Despite the mixed weather Laser Tools Racing gained a lot of useful data in the mixed conditions. Saturday, it was a wet and windy Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire for the opening rounds of the 2021 British Touring Car Championship. Early on Saturday morning there was over 9mm of rain in a driving wind and things were not looking great unless you love seat of the pants, technically demanding racing.
