Laser Tools Racing Rally Team report for the Rex Pets Flying Fortress Rally 12th June 2022
Sunday 12th June the Laser Tools Racing Rally Team were at Grafton Underwood for the Rex Pets Flying Fortress Stages the 3rd round of the 2022 championships. Being one of our favourite venues we were really looking forward to doing it and even though we flew back from holiday on the Saturday night we were still up for the days challenge. The day was a hot one as it usually as on this event and with 71 entries there would be some great battles throughout the field. Stage one saw us positioned at 14th overall and 3rd in class and as...
British Sprint Championship: John Loudon's been at Lydden Hill
Saturday 16th July saw us travel to Lydden Hill Race Circuit for the latest round of the British Sprint Championship. My previous two and only visits to Lydden Hill in deepest Kent hadn’t quite gone to plan. Visit number one in 2019 had me hitting the armco barrier in first practice and subsequently denting my confidence at the circuit. My subsequent second visit in 2021 was only marginally better and I was way off the required pace. The up to 1100cc single seater class record had stood at 68.95 seconds since 2010 and my previous best time was a shoddy 75.16...
British Sprint Championship: John Loudon reports on his weekend at Pembrey
Saturday: We travelled down to South Wales on Friday in glorious sunshine but knowing that the weather forecast for the weekend indicated that we would need to use wet tyres at some point on one or both of the days. However, the rain held off for the day until as we were packing away for the day. The expected course was changed to Sunday’s Club circuit at the last minute due to a track permit mix up at MSUK, so a good proportion of us hadn’t walked the correct course beforehand. Practice went surprisingly well and then the first timed...
Laser Tools Racing: GB4 Championship Snetterton Report
It was a busy weekend of racing at Snetterton with plenty of on-track action for the spectators to enjoy. Friday was a test day, and as such, track-time was limited so both Laser Tools Racing drivers Logan Hannah and Chloe Grant were keen to make the most of what time they did have. The team tested various set-ups on both cars and both driver were confident going into Saturday’s qualifying session. On Saturday Logan commented: “The team had done a fantastic job with the car and straight away I could feel it was competitive, and with the fresh tyres, I...
BTCC Croft — June 25-26
Coming into this weekend, the end of the first half of the season, the team were quite happy following their heroics at Oulton Park last time out. Aiden getting his first trophy of the season and Dexter getting his first championship points were a great result for the team and they were keen for this success to continue at Croft before they go into the mid-summer break. In Saturday’s first free practice session it was clear that the improvements the team had made at Oulton Park were holding good for Aiden at the circuit he dominated last year. Never dropping...
