Successful sortie for Laser Tools Racing at Thruxton

Another successful sortie for Laser Tools Racing at Thruxton in Hampshire over the weekend. Our driver Ash Sutton maintains his lead of the Driver’s Championship with a healthy 30-point lead over main rival Tom Ingram. On Saturday morning the FP1 first practice session had started well but the session was stopped after another red flag. Ash had managed at this stage to put in some fast laps but LTR drivers Aiden Moffat and Carl Boardley had only just started when the session was stopped. Another successful meeting for the Laser Tools Racing team with another amazing win for Ash Sutton!

This weekend saw the annual trip north of the border to Aiden Moffat’s home track, Knockhill Racing Circuit in Scotland. A favourite among fans and drivers alike the circuit is a brilliant challenge and is one of the few circuits to have steep downhill sections, power sapping uphill sections, crests that leave the cars on two wheels and an incredibly tight uphill right hand hairpin. Oulton Park 2021 - drama, crashes and then more drama and more crashes!

Saturday started wet and miserable at the Cheshire circuit, soggy conditions for Free Practice session 1 and drier for the second session. However the vital qualifying session later in the afternoon was perfectly dry. Despite the mixed weather Laser Tools Racing gained a lot of useful data in the mixed conditions.
